I saw the last days in the news, the taliban marching to the Afghan capital of Cabul. Before that, one town after the other were falling without resistance under their control and now even USA, RUSSIA, CHINA etc are negotiating with them.
As it seems, after 20 years and the waste of billions of dollars, about 2500 soldiers dead and plenty of civilians wounded etc The modern rainbow "west" failed again to control the territory and eliminitate (or at hold back) one of its enemies. What did it gone wrong? Simply, the West as we know from history is not west anymore. Since decades now she had abandonded the values found upon.
Speaking of the real West, it bringed to my mind the book "The Afghan Campaign"
"A novel about Alexander the Great’s three-year campaign in the Afghan kingdoms, 330-328 BCE. A dead ringer for the U.S.’s war in the same deserts and mountains, still going on today."
The Afghan Campaign is a historic novel written by Steven Pressfield (Also writter of other succesful historic novel such as The Gates of Fire, The Tides of War etc).
The story takes place in the same lands of Aghanistan but in 330 bc. In the times of Alexander The Great. Its a story narrated by soldier of Macedonian army.
As it based upon real historical facts but the major difference is that here we are talking about the real western army and imperialist values of the Ancient world and not the modern these degenerates lead by traitors and puppets of their shadow masters.
As it seems, not much have changed since the days of Alexander The Great's passing through this regions. So for anyone intrested, the book gives good insight of how war is done there and also various conflicts with different tribes, warlords, leaders etc

As for the future in the modern Afghanistan, this gonna bring a change in global geopolitics or a new day for the country that will control amongst other the rare metals, production of opium etc
Things will be more clear in the next months....
