Hail to You, Lion of Burgundy!

"I sometimes made huge mistakes. But what actually is a mistake in politics? And when I look back, I have only one sentiment: an enormous regret. Regret that we did not succeed, that we were not able to create this European world which would be the master of the universe for all time, which made the white race the first race, with the great mastery of the spirit.

And when we see what there is on the other side, what 30 years of the others’ victory has given, this anarchy in the world, this rout of the white world, this desertion throughout the universe; when we see in our own countries the decay of morals, the fall of the fatherland, the fall of the family, the fall of social order; when we see this appetite for material goods which has replaced the great flame of the ideal which animated us, well then, truly, between the two we chose the right side. The small, miserable Europe of today, of this impoverished Common Market, cannot give happiness to men. Consumer society poisons humanity rather than elevating it.

So, for our part, we dreamed of something great, and we have only one desire, that this spirit be reborn. And with all my might, up to the last moment of my existence, I will fight for this. So that what was our struggle and our martyrdom, will one day be
the resurrection."

CELTIC FROST's Origin on the Rise and Fall of Civilizations

"We wanted to avoid a Metal cliche name. But we wanted it to be a synonym for the apocalypse. So we choose "Celtic" to represent human civilization and we used "Frost" as a symbol of death and standstill. Moreover, the term "Frost" has an added significance. After the winter, after the frost, there will always be a new spring, and life blossoms again. To us it reflected very much the coming and going of the different human civilizations on this planet."

Taken from CELTIC FROST's "Innocence and Wrath" Compilation liner notes.

Ghosts of The Past PART 1 - Flakturm Tiergarten

"The Zoo flak tower, or in German, the Flakturm Tiergarten, was a thirteen-story fortified anti-aircraft tower that existed in Berlin from 1941 to 1947. It was one of several flak towers that protected Berlin from Allied bomber raids. Its primary role was as a gun platform to protect the government building district of Berlin, in addition the Hochbunker (blockhouse) was designed to be used by the German leadership, and provided secure storage facilities for art treasures. The zoo tower in particular stored the Kaiser Willhelm coin collection, Nefertiti's head, the disassembled Altar of Zeus from Pergamon, and other major treasures of the Berlin museums, and provided shelter for up to 20,000 civilians during the Battle for Berlin. It took the allies two years to demolish the Flakturm Tiergarten after its surrender."

Ghosts of The Past - To Unearth the Forgotten

  "What are these,
So wither’d and so wild in their attire,
That look not like th’ inhabitants o’ the earth,
And yet are on’t? Live you? or are you aught
That man may question?"
William Shakespeare - MACBETH

GHOSTS OF THE PAST is a new thread that I`m going to start soon in Omaimon Paradosis blog and will continue doing it in different parts. Each part will be about things we rarely see or hear about, if not at all. Things from the recent history and also from previous centuries and ages. Perhaps, at times, relics of them still standing in our days. Such things may be from architecture, arts, regalia, military history or just mysterious places. Ofcourse everything will be always in the line that Omaimon Paradosis founded for:
The standpoint of Blood and Racial Folk soul.
